China criticizes US defense reports.<br />China said the US defense report that it strengthens its nuclear and missile forces to change the international order is "provocative".<br /><br />In a statement today, China's Defense Ministry spokesman Wu Khiem expressed "stubborn opposition" to the "China Military Strength Report" recently released by the US Department of Defense.<br /><br />The Chinese Military Strength Report released by the Pentagon on September 1 is an annual report submitted to the US congress since 2000 to provide parliamentarians with the latest assessment of the expansion process. China's defense power<br /><br />According to Wu, the China Military Strength Report 2020 "promotes the so-called Chinese threat and defames the modernization of the Chinese military". Days before the US Presidential polls, The long-awaited Basic Exchange and Cooperation Agreement which gives India access to classified geo-spatial data as well as critical information having significant military applications from the US, was signed today as External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh held the third edition of the 2+2 talks with US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and Defence Secretary Mark Esper in New Delhi. Rajnath Singh hailed the defence pact saying that signing of BECA with US is a significant move. BECA, which is the fourth and final foundational understanding the US has with India, will allow India to gain access to precision data and topographical images on a real time basis from United States military satellites. SOCIAL MEDIA — Wildlife selfies have become all the rave over social media, only problem is they encourage animal cruelty. <br /> <br />As more people look for pointless reasons to share pictures of themselves, local wildlife around the world are paying the price, according to Wild Animal Protection. <br /> <br />The charity found a 292% increase in the amount of wildlife selfies posted on Instagram since 2014. <br /> <br />The demand for wildlife selfies has led to an increase in local animals being snatched from the wild and forced into becoming props. <br /> <br />Investigators found animals being abused in the Amazon cities of Manaus, Brazil and Puerto Alegria, Peru. <br /> <br />The team discovered green anacondas wounded and dehydrated, kept in small wooden crates, when not being strangled by the throat for selfies. <br /> <br />Sloths snatched from the wild, so they can be held by tourists. The handling from all the tourists naturally causes the sloths to freak out. And when they're not needed for photos, they're roped to trees. <br /> <br />Caiman crocodiles are jammed in broken refrigerators with their mouths closed shut with rubber bands. <br /> <br />Rule of thumb, next time you think about taking a selfie, don't.
