در ویدیویی که از اجرای خیابانی آهنگ «راسپوتین» در محله پاسداران تهران در شبکه‌های اجتماعی دست به دست می‌شود، گروهی از نوجوانان با پوشش اختیاری می‌رقصند.

پیشتر ویدیوهایی از همخوانی و رقص مردم در معابر عمومی با پوشش اختیاری در شهرهای مختلف ایران منتشر شده است؛ تصاویری که گروهی از شهروندان می‌گویند که «بخش کوچکی از زندگی عادی مردم در دیگر کشورهای جهان است.»

در پی اعتراضات اخیر ایران، رقص یکی از شیوه‌های اعتراضی به حکومت بوده و به نوعی نافرمانی و به چالش کشیدن ارزش‌های مورد تاکید حکومت است.

راسپوتین، نام ترانه مشهوری از گروه موسیقی بونی‌ام است که در سال ۱۹۷۸ میلادی ساخته ‌شد.

جمهوری اسلامی برای مجبور کردن زنان به رعایت حجاب اجباری پس از اعتراضات سراسری در ایران به روش‌هایی از جمله جریمه و تشکیل پرونده قضایی، پلمب کسب‌وکارها و توقیف خودروها روی آورده است. اما گروهی از زنان در تهران و شهرهای دیگر در آنچه «مبارزه مدنی روزمره» می‌خوانند، با پوشش اختیاری در معابر عمومی و رویدادها حاضر می‌شوند و با اشاره به کشته و زخمیان اعتراضات می‌گویند «دیگر به عقب برنمی‌گردیم.»
